FACEBOOK may have violated its own Community Standards on hate speech by banning trans, lesbians and gays from expressing their sexuality, Politicalite has learned.

The worlds biggest social media site claims that LGBT people ‘won’t be allowed to discuss their identities anymore’ to “solicit sex” according to Gay Star News.

Facebook said that “the discussion of drawing ‘attention to sexual violence and exploitation’ is important, but it wants to ‘draw the line’ at content encouraging or coordinating ‘sexual encounters between adults’.

Some of this banned content includes mentioning ‘sexual preference/sexual partner preference’ and ‘commonly sexualised areas of the body such as the breasts, groin or buttocks’

The firm denied it had banned users from discussing their sexuality.
