Peterborough by-election

EXCLUSIVE: Labour And PBORO Council DENY Vote-Rigger Was There – Here’s PROOF He Was

BOTH Peterborough City Council and representatives of convicted Ballot-Burglar Tariq Mahmood, have been caught-out telling a whopper of a lie to cover-up his involvement in the Peterborough By-election.

Upon Politicalite exclusively revealing that formerly imprisoned Tariq Mahmood – who was sentenced in 2008 for his direct involvement in an electoral fraud scam that cost the British taxpayer over £1m – was hired as a key member of both Labour’s Fiona Onasanya”s and Lisa Forbes’ election campaign teams, various large media outlets and political commentators have picked-up on the story, leading both the local Labour party leader and the City council desperate to put the issue to bed before it gains the national attention it truly deserves.

FROM COURT ROOMS TO COUNT ROOMS: Labour’s Tariq Mahmood takes a break from the count-room and steps into the public area to take a victory selfie.

Rather than address the serious issue of electoral fraud and the potential fact that the recent Peterborough by-election that saw both The Brexit Party’s Mike Greene and Tory Paul Bristow pipped-to-the-post by under 700 votes, was a fix, Peterborough Council – who recently decided to scrap a scheme that would have seen a reduction in electoral fraud in the city –  denied that Tariq Mahmood was even in the count-room – much to the bafflement and bemusement of many local political activists who claim to have all seen him there, just as he has been seen in the count-room on many occasions.

The Local Labour chiefs also chose to lie to the press about Tariq’s involvement.

CLOSE COMRADES: From left; Personal friends and Labour colleagues, Mohammed Jamil (former local Labour leader), Tariq Mahmood, and current leader Shaz Nawaz.

Speaking to the local newspaper, The Peterborough Telegraph, a Labour spokesperson said: “Peterborough council, who organise the count, always announce the results in a public area of the venue. There were hundreds of people there. The Labour Party had 19 official guests who were allowed in to the restricted areas. He was not one of them.”

Members of the public can of course support Labour, but this individual did not play any role in Labour’s campaign.”

But Politicalite can reveal that this is an all-out lie, after the following photographs were lifted from Mahmood’s own Facebook account.

Mahmood snaps votes being attended by an election official.

In the images, taken by Mahmood himself (the Labour gift that keeps on giving), and posted on his Facebook account at 1:26am shortly before the announcement, the convicted vote-rigger is clearly inside the count room, where he takes a series of snaps with  – most notably up-close shots of the bundles of votes (votes we suspect, considering his background, he was probably seeing for the second time).

WITHIN ARMS REACH: Vote-rigger Mahmood is left to get up close and personal with the bundles of now unattended votes, despite his previous conviction, and despite not having legal permission to take photographs.

Politicalite also recently released a video taken by Mahmood in which he breaks electoral rules by filming inside an area where a count was taking place – filming ballot papers right in front of City Council officials.

Tariq takes one last shot of the votes up on the stage before heading back to the public area.

Tariq provides a timeline of his movements inside and out of the count-room in his own damning photographs.

We have now approached both the Labour Party and Peterborough council for an explanation and to see if they’d like to – upon these photos providing damning evidence to the contrary of their claims – retract their demonstrably false statement.
