PRINCE Charlie and his pearly Queen took a day trip to Walford and are set to make a shock appearance in Albert Square on Thursday night as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The future King and Queen were said to be “great sports” when filming the iconic scenes in March that are set to air at 7.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

Queen of the Vic Kellie Bright – who plays landlady Linda Carter – praised the royal couples acting skills.

“I just thought, ‘wow, they’ve never done anything like this before’. They didn’t really know what to expect, I mean it must have been nerve-wracking for them and completely out of their norm,” she said.
“So I just hope they enjoyed it as much as we did.”

Letitia Dean – who joined the soap when it launched in 1985 – said Prince Charles gave her his coat to keep her warm.

Dean told the Prince of Wales: “You’ve got your coat on, very wise” which she claims Charles then took his jacket off and placed it around her shoulders.
She later told him: “Thanks for lending me your coat, it smelled rather lovely.”
CAMILLA IS ENDERS FAN

The Duchess of Cornwall also revealed that she was a fan of classic EastEnders, telling actress Gillian Taylforth, who plays Kathy Beale, that she used to watch her on EastEnders when it first aired.

Taylforth said: “She said we were a lot younger then, and that it’s nice to see the old faces. I said I was in it for 15 years and then left and came back from the dead.”
It’s not the first time Prince Charles has starred in a soap, he made an live episode appearance on Granada TV’s Coronation Street back in 2000.

EastEnders has always been a hot bed for celebrity cameo appearances – Harry Redknapp, Boris Johnson and Robbie Williams to name but a few.
Producers have struck gold with an appearance from Charles and Camilla in an upcoming episode this week to mark the Queen’s jubilee.
I’ll be honest I’m not the biggest fan of Charles and Camilla – However, it does signify one thing – EastEnders means business and is on the up to lure the heir to the throne to rub shoulders with Sharon Watts and maybe even grab a cheeky ciggie with Karen Taylor… who knows!
I imagine it will be a brilliant episode, maybe Camilla and Shirley will be at the Queen Vic bar doing a few shots of vodka before murdering a Whitney Houston classic on the karaoke, and maybe Charles will sit down with Patrick, Mick and the lads to have a game of poker! – he might even get a royal flush!
The royal episode of EastEnders airs on BBC One on Thursday at 7.30pm – it will also be available on iPlayer.
