GOD SAVE THE KING: Charles ‘set to be proclaimed King on Saturday at St James Palace’ 

KING Charles is set to be proclaimed King on Saturday at St James Palace, royal sources have told Politicalite.

Charles spent the the first night of his reign at Balmoral and will be returning to London with his wife, Camilla, Queen Consort today.

“Charles is set to address the nation tonight” the source said.

“He is expected to be officially proclaimed King on Saturday at St James’s Palace in London, in front of a ceremonial body known as the Accession Council.”

“No coronation date has yet been set.”

Charles released a heartfelt statement from Balmoral last night where he went with his wife, Camilla, the nation’s new Queen Consort.  

“The death of my beloved Mother, Her Majesty, The Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family,” he said in a statement.

“We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother. I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth, and by countless people around the world.”
