RESPECT, LOVE & LOYALTY: Sophie Wessex praised after hugging Autistic lad in Manchester

SOPHIE Wessex was praised last night after the wife of Prince Edward hugged a lad with Autism at a Royal Event in Manchester on a visit amid The Queen’s death.

Sophie, who married Prince Edward in 1999 was often seen as the Queen’s ‘second’ daughter because of their close bond.

The heartwarming moment has been seen as another example of the ‘Princess Diana effect’ that has now become the norm for the Royals.

The Countess of Wessex as she is known officially hugged Josh, who is autistic, before she left Manchester, as she saw him holding out his arms.

Royal Twitter account The Crown Chronicles revealed: “They had met earlier as Sophie greeted the crowds.”

“Josh said the moment made him feel ‘happy’.

One Twitter user said: ”This is adorable and I think Sophie cares.”
