A YOUNG Man whose mother has cancer has taken to twitter in a bid to help her meet two of her idols, Jimmy Bullard and Freddie Flintoff.
Nick Hepple, 27, from Darwin, Lancashire, sent-out the tweet in an effort to get the attention of the two stars and to persuade them to help give his mum Jackie Rigby, 50, the pick-me-up she deserves.
“My mum has cervical cancer and she’s terminal” Nick told Politicalite. “She got told she had a year, so she had a 6 week chemo treatment and completed it. So she could have a few more years now”
“she’s had cancer for 5 years and she beat it and put it in remission, and it woke back up last year and now she’s terminal. So she only has a few more years, but hopefully she has 50+ years!”
“So what I’m trying to do is make her wish and get her bucket list ticked off and make her some more good memories. She wrote in her bucket list that she wants to meet jimmy Bullard and Freddie flintoff”.
Bullard, a former English footballer, and now a coach and television presenter, is a household name, particularly as the co-host of the Saturday morning Sky TV show Soccer AM.
Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff MBE is a famous English presenter and former international cricketer. playing primarily for Jackie’s hometown of Lancashire.
I’ve not heard anything back from them yet” Nick told us “But I’m hoping it does happen, I want her to be happy She deserves to be happy and have a good memories, she’s a special women.
