Tommy Robinson has savaged Nigel Farage after Farage “slandered” him on his LBC show. The former UKIP Leader repeated his accusation that if UKIP march alongside Tommy next Sunday against Theresa May’s sell-out deal they will “turn into the new BNP.”
“What sort of man uses his own show to lie, slander try and destroy credibility of an organisation and people, attack everyone who supports me then doesn’t allow myself onto the radio to discuss it with him on the raid,” Tommy asked.
He went onto say that Farage is “single-handedly” trying to destroy UKIP because he “fears” the rise of it and was “happy to put two absolute nobodies” in charge of the Party. Because Gerard Batten has “dared” to speak about Islam and try and give working class people a voice, Farage now wants to “destroy him”.
Presumably referring especially to the leadership of Henry Bolton who Nigel Farage consistently backed, Tommy said that Nigel wanted UKIP destroyed. Addressing Farage, Tommy said: “You didn’t care about the politics and the future of UKIP. You thought you were UKIP. Not the people that supported you. Not the people that paid their money to you. You thought it’s you. It’s about you and you wanted to destroy it.”
Tommy pointed to the growth in membership in UKIP which is growing “phenomenally quickly for a political party” and once again accused Nigel of fearing UKIP’s rise. His comments come as the National Executive Committee is meeting today and is expected to discuss Nigel Farage’s call for a motion of no confidence in Gerard Batten.
