The deal negotiated by Theresa May is a “joke” Tommy Robinson said on his Facebook page today. He slammed her sell-out deal as a “betrayal of the people” and it shows a “complete disregard for democracy”.
As the day has progressed and more Ministers have resigned, Tommy put a variety of posts on his page, including the letter Jacob Rees Mogg submitted calling for a vote of no confidence in Theresa May. Tommy said: “If the Conservative Party do not force her to step down now and replace her with a genuine Brexiteer then I predict UKIP will walk the next general election and take huge support from the two corrupt established parties.”
Gerard Batten MEP said earlier that if Brexiteers do not back UKIP then Brexit is “finished”. The day begun with the surprise resignation of Brexit Secretary, Dominic Raab who was followed by Esther McVey, Work and Pensions Secretary. Penny Mordaunt has gone to ground and Michael Gove is said to be demanding he be allowed to renegotiate the deal Mrs May has spent all day defending.
