SUE TOMMY: Crowdfunding Page Set Up To Sue ‘Tommy Robinson, Facebook & Others’

It seems the knives are really out for Tommy Robinson over his investigation into the conduct of Syrian refugee Jamal, the Syrian refugee whom the mainstream media said was ‘waterboarded’ in a viral video by an English schoolboy.

Abdulnaser Youssef, who somewhat oddly describes himself as Jamal’s ‘litigation friend’ (no, I don’t know what one of those is either), has started a page to raise money;

“to assist with funding a lawsuit against Steven Lennon (AKA Tommy Robinson) which arises out of false comments he made on various social media platforms about Jamal.

We will be bringing an action in defamation against Lennon, we are also exploring bringing a claim against Facebook and other social media platforms which have been exploited by Lennon to publish his false and damaging comments made in respect of Jamal.”

At the time of writing, the page has raised £2,177 of its £10,000 target.

However, I couldn’t help but wonder if the gentlemen who started this page is the same Abdulnaser Youssef who is described on the Company Check website as being somewhat well-heeled:

The combined cash at bank value for all businesses where ABDULNASER holds a current appointment equals £2.4m, a combined total current assets value of £3.5m with a total current liabilities of £2.1m and a total current net worth of £1.5m.

Mr Youssef clearly has some questions to answer. What exactly is a ‘litigation friend’ and what role is he playing in this process? If indeed he is the man described above, why does he need the crowdfunding page? It is surely only fair that the people giving their money to this cause have those questions answered is it not?
