THERESA MAY hailed her re-shuffle as an “Anti male, pale and stale” reshuffle, but it does nothing to capture the imagination of traditional Tories and fails to capture the new-era of the Trumpian/Brexit Populism in the West.
May’s PR stunt has simply moved the Tories to the centre-left whilst happily ignoring the populist Kippers (UKIP Voters) traditional tories and potential middle of the road voters.
May’s gimmick will be been seen by Labour voters as a “PR-Exercise” rather than a real change within the party, Corbynistas know the Maybot cares little for them, but Mrs May is so desperate to be liked by the virtue signalling leftists that she will do anything to appease them.
Theresa has ignored the Trad Tory youth wing of the party and has also ignored the Kippers that the Conservatives so desperately need to win the next Election.
Monday’s re-shuffle has made me and thousands of other Tory voters “politically homeless” and this “Anti-Male, Pale and Stale” branded re-shuffle will do nothing to capture the energy of the Populist movement across the west.
If moving the Conservative Party closer to the left-wing ideology of Identity politics is May’s solution, then we have a serious problem.
MAY’S LACK OF AUTHORITY LAID BARE
Monday’s PR exercise was supposed to reassert Theresa’s authority, but all it has done is show how weak the Maybot really is.
Jeremy Hunt refused to move, Justine Greening refused to go to the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) – a real leader doesn’t need to force a minister to move roles, they simply do it because they are glad to be in a position of power within the Government.
Margaret Thatcher once said: “Power is like being a lady… if you have to tell people you are, you aren’t.” – that perfectly sums up Theresa May.
In the recently vacated role of Deputy Prime Minister, May replaced one disgraced MP with another, David Liddington who replaced extreme porn fan, Damian Green.
Liddington was involved in 2009’s expenses scandal, the new Deuputy PM was revealed to have claimed close to £1,300 for cleaning services and toiletries.
Mr Liddington is also a Remoaner meaning Mrs May’s Number 10, Number 11 (Phillip Hammond), The Deputy’s office (David Liddington) and the Home Office (Amber Rudd) is now populated by MPs who voted Remain.
Theresa May has also ignored the 17.4 million Brexit voters who voted to leave the European Union in 2016, May has appointed only ONE Brexiteer in her re-shuffle, Esther MckVey – who is the new Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.
She’s also ignored the Moggmentum within the Party by refusing to promote the hugely popular Jacob Rees-Mogg.
CLEVERLY DONE, PM
The Prime Minister did make one positive move by appointing James Cleverly Deuputy Conservative Party Chair.
Cleverly is a man who knows social media and the intensity of the fight online.
Hopefully, Mr Cleverly can transform the Tories online offering from a party stuck in the dial-up era of the internet into an online force to be reckoned with.
Many Tories have seen the re-shuffle as “another May balls up” if this is the solution to the Tories problems, we have a serious identity crisis.
