MAY’S MILLIONAIRE LORDS LIFELINE: Super-Rich Unelected Lords are backing Theresa May and have donated £8m to keep the PM in No10

UNELECTED Millionaire Tory Lords are giving Theresa May a lifeline even though elected backbench Tory MPs are calling for the Prime Minister to set a date to resign.

The Sun on Sunday reports that 30 bankrollers from Midlands Industrial Council are to back the Prime Minister today.

The super-rich backers include Lord Bamford and Robert Edmiston.

MONEY TALKS

Bamford who is also the boss of JCB has given more than £4m to Theresa May and another £4m has been donated by car tycoon Lord Edmiston who retired from the House of Lords in 2015.

The group which has a joining fee of £50,000 said: “We unanimously believe that Theresa May should remain as PM for the foreseeable future.”
