HOME Secretary Sajid Javid has held firm on his decision to ban ISIS Bride Shamima Begum, despite attacks from Labour.
Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott spoke in the House of Commons and took the side of the unrepentant ISIS fanatic.
Abbott claimed that Shamima was “Britain’s responsibility” and should have been allowed back.
It has been claimed that the ISIS Brides baby died.
Javid hit back and said it was “not about British citizenship…it is about the ability of the British state to help” and Britain, like many European countries, had no consular presence in Syria.”
Javid said “More than 900 people have left the UK to fight in Iraq and Syria, but the government has made it clear that no British nationals should head to Syria.”
He also added that he would not shy away from using powers at his disposal to protect this country.
BRITS BACK SAJ
Since the ‘media blitz’ for the ISIS bride last month, there was an unofficial campaign to stop her returning via Social Media.
Brits lit up Facebook with an array of hilarious Memes, and in 2019, Memes seemed to help influence a major political decision.
Speaking about the decision, activist Tommy Robinson said: “Credit where credit is due, I think Sajid has shown more strength than any of the other weak politicians.”
SHAMIMA VOTED OUT OF CAMP
ISIS bride Shamima was forced to FLEE the Syrian refugee camp with her newborn Jihadi son after death threats from other ISIS housewives, according to reports.
Other Jihadi brides were said to be furious with her plush tent and media attention, so a bounty ‘was put on her head.’
The Sun reported Begum was taken to another base in Syria after she was “threatened”.
A source said: “She is living in fear of her life. There is a bounty on her head. She felt she had no option but to move her and her child to have a chance of survival.
“Shamima has become something of a celebrity and is constantly looking over her shoulder, fearing brutal reprisals for daring to speak out about life with ISIS.”
Her lawyer, Tasnime Akunjee, told the Mirror he had not received confirmation of her leaving the camp, but that his “understanding was that she had been moved”.
Other jihadi wives believe she has disgraced ISIS by appearing in the media.
Shamima had her British citizenship revoked by the Home Secretary after claiming the Manchester Arena attack was ‘justified’.
SHOCKED AT BAN
Shamima Begum was said to be “a bit shocked” that Home Secretary Sajid Javid banned her from returning to the UK by revoking her British citizenship.
Begum, 19 travelled from London to join Islamic State in Syria in 2015. “It’s “kind of heart-breaking,” said Begum. “I don’t know what to say,” she told ITV News.
UNFAZED BY SEVERED HEADS
Begum, originally from London’s Bethnal Green, married a Dutch convert to Islam in Syria and spoke of being “unfazed” when seeing severed heads in a bin for the first time.
Speaking to The Times in February, Begum who was aged 15 when she fled Britain to back ISIS, along with two others to join the ‘fight’ against the West and our values by marrying an ISIS fighter.
She has been found in a refugee camp in Syria and now wants to return so that her unborn child can be saved, despite showing not a single shred of remorse.
Begum even admitted that she is ‘weak’ for wanting to return to the West, and added that “seeing a severed head” in a bin in the ISIS stronghold “did not faze her at all”.
In a sinister statement, Begum said: “I am not the same silly little school girl who ran away from Bethnal Green four years ago.” and admitted that “I don’t regret coming here”
She described her life as “normal” in former ISIS capital, Raqqa despite “bombing and stuff.”
The only reason she wants to return is so she can use Britain’s National Health Service to “save her unborn child.” after two of her ISIS children died in Syria.
CALLS FOR BAN REACHED 500K
A petition to #BanBegum reached a whopping 570k signatures as UKIP Leader Gerard Batten called for a ban on the ISIS bride returning to the UK.
He said: “By her actions, Ms Begum has rejected British and Western cultural standards by joining Islamic State. It is unclear whether she took part in fighting herself; however, she displays no remorse or regrets for her actions.
“Britain must send a zero-tolerance message to anyone who leaves the country to join criminal terrorist organisations like Islamic State. Ms Begum should remain in Syria to face justice because that is where Islamic State have committed their crimes.”
“And now she wants to take advantage of the NHS. You can bet your bottom dollar there will be a lobby to get this girl home on humanitarian grounds.”
Dr Kim Howells, a former Foreign Office and Counter-Terrorism Minister under the Blair government, told MailOnline: “She sounds to be completely unrepentant, she sounds cynical, she said she wasn’t fazed by the sight of these heads in a bin as she described it.
Security minister Ben Wallace said “She’s a British citizen, she has rights. That’s the reality of it. It’s not about me or anyone else saying you can’t come.
“You have rights. But you know, don’t be surprised by what reception you get when you come back when it comes to investigations and law enforcement.”
