Andrea Leadsom, Leader of the House Of Commons and a nominal Brexiteer, reportedly exploded at the Cabinet meeting today where Theresa May announced she will write to President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, demanding Brexit be delayed until at least 30th June with the prospect of a longer, upto 2 year delay also mooted.
She reportedly said:
1. Cabinet sources say PM is writing letter to EU today asking for extension – frustration that she is going to ask for end date of June 30th, with proviso of up delay of up to 2 years

Leadsom stood against May in the Tory leadership contest following the resignation of David Cameron but has since been incorporated into the May machine. If she truly believes what she said to be true it does rather beg the question why she is still in a Cabinet she finds herself so vehemently at odds with and why she has not seen this all along.
