LIZ Truss won the backing of Spice Girl Geri Horner.
Geri, who shot to fame as Ginger Spice in the Spice Girls in the nineties met Tory leadership front runner Truss at the Womens Euro final on Sunday.
Miss Truss revealed she received the backing of Geri, who told her to “go for it”.
Geri, an influential pop icon who embodied Girl Power in the 90s has previously described Margaret Thatcher as the ‘original Spice Girl’.
BOLD ACTION
Last night, Liz told a Sky News debate to pledge her “bold” economic plan to get Britain booming.
She pledged to immediately reverse the national insurance increase, introduced by Mr Sunak when he was in No 11, as well as cut other taxes to prevent the job losses of a recession.
What the Bank of England have said today is of course extremely worrying, but it is not inevitable,” she said.
“We can change the outcome and we can make it more likely that the economy grows.
“Now is the time to be bold, because if we don’t act now, we are headed for very, very difficult times.”
