BREXIT BLACK WEDNESDAY: UKIP Says ‘The Real Fight Begins Now!’

Today has truly been a ‘Black Wednesday’ for Brexit and therefore for Britain. It is hard to fathom which is worse, the actual deal itself or the not wholly unexpected spinelessness of the Cabinet when it comes to sticking up not just for Britain but for the things that a substantial proportion of them say in public they stand for, not to mention the commitments the Tories made in their election manifesto.

UKIP have become something of a lone voice in the wilderness in standing for unconditional freedom for Britain from the EU. Gerard Batten MEP, responded strongly to events: UKIP’s position is unilateral and unconditional withdrawal. The real struggle to leave the EU now begins in earnest. UKIP will never give up the fight for a complete and total exit from the EU. If this surrender deal is implemented, UKIP will be the political resistance movement, fighting in the electoral beaches, fields, lanes, and landing grounds. UKIP will never surrender.”

It is hard to see a political alternative to UKIP with the complete capitulation of Cabinet Brexiteers and the continued dither on the backbenches. Peter Bone MP boldly spoke out at Prime Ministers Questions today, telling the Prime Minister, that the deal as reported at the time is not Brexit, however, words will now have to become actions if there is any hope of salvaging anything from this manufactured disaster.
