GARETH Gates has revealed how howling swear words and screaming foul language “cured” his stammer on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, Politicalite can reveal.
The ‘Pop Idol” runner-up, 39, has spent years battling his speech impediment but accidentally found screaming foul language while filming allowed him to speak fluently.

Speaking about his potty-mouthed discovery – inspired by the show hosts’ cursing he said: “Somebody had to take control because I was like, ‘I’m not losing this challenge.’ I was screaming and out of nowhere I went from this stammering wreck to actually having a voice.”

“Who knew shouting at people makes my stammer go away?”
‘Celebrity SAS’ sees Gareth compete in military tasks alongside shamed former Health Secretary Matt Hancock, 45, model Danielle Lloyd, 39, ex-Love Islander Teddy Soares, 28, and Team GB runner Perry Shakes Drayton, 34, with the final episode set to air on Sunday night at 9pm.

Gareth previously turned down the chance to appear on the show and other reality series including ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ due to his stammer.
He said: “I’ve been asked to do the jungle, to do ‘Big Brother’, and that terrifies me.

“Just being sat around with people conversing, or at least trying to converse, that’s hard for me. This show just really intrigued me.”

Gareth, whose exes include ‘Coronation Street’’ star Faye Brooks, 36, insisted he is determined to emerge the winner of ‘Celebrity SAS’ as he’s still haunted by coming second in ‘Pop Idol’ in 2002, when he lost out to 44-year-old Will Young.
He added: “Twenty years ago I become the nation’s biggest loser. Now I want to prove I am a winner.
“A winner with a potty mouth.”
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins airs tonight on Channel 4 at 9pm.
