DOUGIE Smith - the Tory fixer behind the political assassination of Boris Johnson “had a rabbit cut up and nailed to a front-door in a “mafia-style” warning to his ex-girlfriend, an explosive new book set to rock Westminster has claimed, Politicalite can exclusively reveal.
Nadine Dorries - the former Conservative MP for Mid-Bedfordshire claims in a new book that the Tory political adviser known in Whitehall as ‘Dr No’ ordered the “rabbit reckoning” at a home of an alleged ex-partner in a string of revelations that are causing concern inside Number 10.
The inside story of her time in Downing Street titled ‘The Plot: The Political Assassination of Boris Johnson has been described by politicos as: “The most anticipated political book of the year, and it is being serialised exclusively in the Daily Mail from tomorrow.
Ms Dorries says: ‘Dr No was once on remand in prison for alleged arson. When a girlfriend ended their relationship, it is rumoured that he had her little brother’s pet rabbit chopped into four and nailed to the front door of the family home to greet him when he got home from school, in true Mafia style.’
The Mail says it has spoken to the brother in question, who confirmed that ‘something happened’ to his rabbit when he was a child, around the time that his sister split up with Dr No. He said: ‘I definitely had a rabbit, and I don’t now.’
Asked if his parents had said anything about what happened to the pet, he said: ‘They don’t want to talk about the rabbit, they’ve kept the same line. That I had a rabbit, and then I didn’t have a rabbit, which is normal with pets.’
Ms Dorries, who was culture secretary under Boris Johnson, stood down as the MP for Mid Bedfordshire earlier this year, triggering a by-election which led to Labour overturning the largest Tory majority since 1945.

DOUGLAS “Dougie” Smith, 61 is a British political advisor who has worked as a senior Conservative Party aide for British prime ministers David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson, although according to The Daily Telegraph his precise role is uncertain.
Smith was also responsible for the downfall of former Tory PM Boris Johnson after the enforcer allegedly threatened into resigning by a shadowy Tory, it is claimed.
Boris allegedly received a phone call from Dougie Smith as part of the plot to overthrow the outgoing Prime Minister, by a close friend of Tory leadership front runner Rishi Sunak.
Smith, who was a close friend of Mr Johnson’s potential successor and former Chancellor Rishi Sunak, made the threat as part of efforts to destabilise the Government and is married to a top Tory advisor who helped bring down Boris Johnson.
The Mail reports that Smith made the calls and influenced four No10 allies to resign from the Government.
The move came earlier this year, after the PM accused Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer of failing to prosecute paedophile Jimmy Savile.
A senior source said: ‘The call was aggressive, threatening, bullying. Boris was totally shaken by the venom in the threat. Smith told Boris to resign and if he refused they would get him any way. That was February. It took until July but they did get him in the end.’
Sources said the ‘aggressive, threatening, bullying’ call demanding he quit left Mr Johnson ‘totally shaken’.
